Stonelake Morgans has exciting news!!
Presenting
Journeys Made to Order...
2010 Pinto AMHA Morgan filly. |

Maddie at 3 months old |
Stonelake Morgan stallion, Adiels Snicker Zip, is the sire of a very rare Pinto
Morgan filly, Journeys Made to Order. "Maddie" as she is called, is a bay
tricolor pinto , foaled May 2010. Not only is she very colorful, she is so nicely
conformed, curvy with balance, upright neck, a pretty head, sloping shoulder,
short back and long hip. We couldn't be more pleased with this filly.
Her dam, Journeys Rumour Hasit, aka "Luna" is a sweetheart of a mare, I became
very fond of her during her time here. She not only is wonderfully
dispositioned but is just a lovely, well balanced Morgany mare, feminine and
graceful. Maddie was a wonderful surprise for Stonelake Morgans and
Journey Morgans. I am still wonder-struck by this amazing AMHA registered
Morgan filly! She greatly surpassed our expectations from the crossing of Luna
to Zip!
Maddie is owned by Journey Farm Morgans. Visit website here:

Hast thou given the horse
strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
Cans't thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? The glory of his
nostrils is terrible.
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on
to meet the armed men.
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted, neither turneth he back
from the sword.

Stonelake
Morgans is a small Morgan horse farm located in Northeast Georgia.
We are a small farm, usually raising only one to three foals per year. The foals
we have are loved and played with continuously, resulting in a very
family oriented horse who loves to be with people. At Stonelake
Morgans, through the years of owning horses, I have come to value
disposition as much as conformation and bloodlines. I can forgive minor
conformation faults, but a bad disposition is not one to be bred on,
thus will be culled out when needed. Luckily, that is not
found often in the Morgan breed.
Our emphasis is on breeding for
quality color Morgans, Pinto Morgans, and Sport Morgan ponies. We have registered Morgans, not
Morgan-pony crosses. So many people want a "big" horse, yet
they don't need size, they need brawn and good bone, along with a
great temperament and good conformation. Children certainly
don't need to be on a 15.2 hand horse or larger, they learn better
and are more comfortable on a compatibly sized horse. A large
horse can intimidate a beginner rider, whether it is a child or an
adult. Or even someone experienced, but dealing with past
issues from previous bad experiences with a horse. I believe
there is a need for the Pony Morgan and I hope to be able to help
fill that need with good tempered, beautiful, Sport Morgan Ponies
sized under 14.2 hands with quality gaits useful in the sport
disciplines. |

We
have a variety of bloodlines, with Brunk,
Lippitt, Mid-Western and Western Working Family being the basis of our breeding program.
In addition, we have a variety of color...bay, black,
chestnut, dun, palomino cremello, and buckskin. Now I
also have a new young stallion, "Stoney", and Zip, a bay stallion, both
who carry the rare Splash gene, both confirmed splash thru DNA
testing. Zip also sired a loudly marked registered
Pinto Morgan, Journeys Made to Order, a filly born in May 2010. We are excited about the possibilities
in the future for the rare Pinto Morgan.
Several horses are offered for sale, see the sales
page to see what is currently available.
I have 4 stallions at
stud. Carrington's Choctaw, is a
1996 coal black
14h Morgan stallion with impeccable Western and Mid-West
breeding. He is a stunningly beautiful dream horse, and a wonderful
representation of the breed with his kind and sensible
personality. Go to his page
for more information and
pictures! Also
at stud is Cliffviews Copper Jubilee, a wonderful
golden palomino, Journeys Doubletake; a black splash;
and Adiels Snicker Zip, a
bay splash stallion. I
love all these boys, and think the world of them. They
all have wonderful dispositions, and the added possibility
of a variety of color and the pinto gene.
